Manila — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) prohibits their personnel from using the social media platform TikTok. However, the AFP clarified that it applies only to AFP-issued gadgets connected to the military network.
PNP Chief Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr., on the other hand, stated in a Radio Pilipinas (RP) report that they have not implemented guidelines similar to those of the AFP.
The General noted that police officers are permitted to use TikTok as long as they maintain the integrity of their uniforms.
Regarding security matters, the PNP chief mentioned that they will study the existing guidelines enforced by the AFP.
