Manila -In a daring move, the Philippine re-supply vessel, the Unaizah May, managed to slip past the attempted blockade by the China Coast Guard, as confirmed by the Naval Forces West of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The incident occurred as the AFP conducted rotation and re-supply missions for government forces stationed at the BRP Sierra Madre in Ayungin Shoal, part of the disputed West Philippine Sea.
The Philippine re-supply ship executed a reverse maneuver, successfully outmaneuvering the China Coast Guard vessel to deliver the much-needed supplies to the soldiers stationed at the BRP Sierra Madre.
