Cotabato City — Authorities have yet to determine the motive and identity of the perpetrator behind the fatal shooting of Jose Raymond Marquez, the Chief of Operations of the Cotabato City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO).
The victim was shot at 9:10 pm on Friday in Sinsuat Avenue, Rosary Heights 4, Cotabato City.
Based on the investigation, the victim was riding his motorcycle on his way home when unidentified assailants opened fire upon reaching the location of the crime.
Investigators recovered at the crime scene three fired cartridge cases believed to be from a .45 caliber, which have been submitted for Ballistic Examination.
The police also requested the recorded CCTV footage from all establishments and residences near the crime scene.
Cotabato City Mayor Bruce Matabalao has ordered the authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation and take immediate action to ensure justice for the victim.
