Cotabato City —The Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) and the Bangsamoro Tripartite, Wages and Productivity Board have officially signed today the minimum wage increase of twenty pesos (Php 20) for workers in both the Non-Agriculture and Agriculture sectors under Wage Order No. 3.
The new minimum wage for non-agriculture sector workers in Cotabato City is now Php 361.00, previously Php 341.00. On the other hand, for agriculture sector workers, it has increased from Php 316.00 to Php 336.00.
A P20.00 wage hike is also implemented in Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Lanao del Sur, Marawi City, Basilan, Lamitan City, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
The new minimum wage for the Non-Agriculture Sector in these areas stands at Php 336.00, formerly Php 316.00, while agricultural workers receive Php 326.00, previously Php 306.00.
Meanwhile, the minimum wage in the non-agricultural sector in BARMM’s Special Geographic Area (SGA) remains at Php 341.00, and for the agriculture sector, it is at Php 316.00.
These changes aim to address the needs of workers and provide them with fair compensation, taking into account the current economic conditions.
