Cotabato City — More than 500 villages officials from 63 villages in the Special Geographic Area took their oath as new members of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) on Wednesday in a Special Mass Oath Taking Ceremony held at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, BGC Compound, Cotabato City.
UBJP Vice President and Basic, Higher, and Technical Education Minister Mohagher Iqbal led the ceremony.
“More than what we expect yung mga dumating dito ngayong hapon,so we are fully satisfied with the number of attendies coming from the SGA,” Iqbal said.
Among the officials who took their oath were Pikit Mayor Sumulong Sultan and 22 village chairs under his jurisdiction.
“Matagal na namin aspiration na mapasama kami sa United Bangsmoro Justice Party,” Mayor Sultan emphasized.
SGA Administrator MP Kellie Antao disclosed that many individuals are still interested in joining the UBJP.
“Mayroong mga taga outside core na mga Munisipyo sa North Cotabato which is expected na sasali sila doon sa gagawin,pinatawag po ni MP Mohagher Iqbal na pamunuan na magkaroon ng general Assembly at doon po a-attend yung lahat ng mga outside core na we are expecting na another 6,000,” MP Antao said.
