DENR-SOCCSKSARGEN Probes Capture of Two Tarsiers Used as Content by Vlogger in South Cotabato

South Cotabato —The Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Soccsksargen is investigating the alleged capture and confinement of two tarsiers, which became content in the vlog of Ryan Parreño, also known as “Farm Boy.” Radyo Pilipinas detailed this report.



DENR-Soccsksargen confirmed that Parreño has already released the two tarsiers.

The incident took place in Polomolok, South Cotabato, on April 8, 2024, as posted by the vlogger but later removed from his Facebook page.



The content of the vlogger received criticism from netizens.



Tarsiers are considered an endangered species in the country. They can be found in Bohol and other places in Mindanao, such as Polomolok and Tupi in South Cotabato.
