CSSD, CFBM Committees Approve BTA Bill No. 44 that Seeks to Establish an Office that Provides Financial Assistance to Elder and Permanently Disabled MILF, MNLF Mujahideens

Cotabato City - The Committees on Social Services and Development (CSSD) and Finance, Budget, and Management (CFBM) have approved the proposed bill establishing the Office of Bangsamoro Mujahideen Under Special Circumstance (OBMUSC).


Known as BTA Bill No. 44, this legislation is being advocated by the Government of the Day in the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament.





The office will provide financial assistance to senior citizens and permanently disabled members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and Moro National Liberation Front Mujahideen.


According to the proposed measure, recipients must meet certain qualifications, including their participation in the struggle for self-determination from 1969 to 2014 and being considered underprivileged.

Following the approval at the committee level, the proposed bill will be presented to the plenary for further discussion and deliberation.
