COMELEC Releases Calendar of Activities for 2025 Election

Manila —The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has released the calendar of activities for the 2025 National, Local, and BARMM Elections, setting the election day on May 12, 2025.


August 31, 2024, marks the deadline for the Register Anywhere Program of COMELEC.


September 30, 2024, is the last day of Local and Overseas Registration.


Political conventions of various political parties to select their candidates are scheduled from September 1 to 28, 2024.


October 1 to 8, 2024, are the dates for the filing of COCs, CONAs, and PL CON-CAN. During this period, voluntary withdrawal, substitution, disqualification, or the death of a candidate is allowed. Substitution is only permitted until mid-day of election day, and the substitute must be from the same political party with the same surname.


The Election Period and Gun Ban will run from January 12 to June 11, 2025.


The Campaign Period for senatorial candidates and party-list groups is from February 11 to May 10, 2025, except on April 17, Maundy Thursday, and April 18, Good Friday.


From March 28 to May 10, 2025, the campaign period for candidates for the House of Representatives, parliamentary, provincial, city, and municipal officials is scheduled.


Overseas voters are slated to vote from April 13 to May 12, 2025.


Local absentee voters can vote from April 28 to 30, 2025.


Starting May 11, 2025, a Liquor Ban will be enforced.


Election Day falls on May 12.


COMELEC has set June 11, 2025, as the deadline for filing Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE).
