Cotabato Province — The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (CIDG RFU BAR) arrested two high-profile suspects known as "Commander Ipit" and "Madz" in Presbitero, Pigcauayan, Cotabato Province around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday.
54-year-old alias "Commander Ipit" is a resident of Pinaring, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, while 42-year-old alias "Madz" is from Barangay Ungap.
"Commander Ipit" is listed as the 3rd Most Wanted in BARMM, 2nd Most Wanted in Maguindanao del Norte, and 6th Most Wanted in Sultan Kudarat. Meanwhile, "Madz" holds the 5th spot in the list of Most Wanted in Maguindanao del Norte.
The suspects were apprehended while traveling in an SUV and arrested on the grounds of Warrants of Arrest issued by the 12th Judicial Region, Branch 13, Cotabato City.
"Commander Ipit" faces charges of Frustrated Murder and Murder. "Madz," on the other hand, is charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 Article II, Section 5, Paragraph 1 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 - Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution, and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs.
Both suspects were promptly taken to CIDG RFU BAR for documentation and proper disposition.
Authorities utilized two Alternative Recording Devices (ARD) named Boblov - RFUBAR2023001 and Boblov - RFUBAR2023002 during the operation.
CIDG RGU BAR also attributed the success of the operation to its counterparts, including the 4th SAB, 41st SAC, 34th IB PA, Tracker Team of RIDMD PROBAR, Libungan MPS, and Pigcawayan MPS.
