Cotabato Province —The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit (CIDG RFU BAR) seized firearms and ammunition in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Polayagan, Alamada, Cotabato Province, at 11:15 this morning.
Among the seized items were:
- One (1) Unit of Garand Cal. 30 Winchester with serial no. 1216002.
- One (1) Unit of Garand Cal. 30 Springfield Armory with serial no. 2803509.
- Forty-two (42) Pieces of live Ammunition for Cal. 30.
- One (1) unit of Cal. 45 M1911A1 U. S ARMY with serial no. 756835.
- Seven (7) Pieces of clip for Cal. 30.
- One (1) piece of genuine five hundred pesos with serial no. BF235063.
- Marked Money.

RFU BAR arrested two (2) gunrunners identified as Marlon Danding, a.k.a. "Titing," and Saddam Polayagan, for engaging in the illegal selling of firearms and ammunition to a police poseur buyer.
Before the buy-bust operation, an agreement was made between the poseur buyer and the seller suspects to deliver the weapons and ammunition in Cotabato City, with payment to be made by the poseur buyer. However, the suspects changed their decision and opted to conduct the transaction in Alamada.
The suspects will face charges for violating Section 32 and Section 28 of RA 10591 (Unlawful Sale of Firearms and Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of Firearms and Ammunition), also known as the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Village councilors Diosdado Bona and Rosita Abad witnessed the confiscated arms and ammunition inventory.
CIDG RFU BAR brought the arrested individuals and the seized evidence to their office in Cotabato City for documentation and proper disposition. Two Alternative Recording Devices, described as DMT20X-454265 (ARD 1) BOBLOV and RFUBAR2023014 (ARD 2) BOBLOV, were utilized during the operation in coordination with Alamada MPS.
