Pikit, Cotabato Province - Barangay Peace Action Team member Thong Magao Balaguna, 45 years old, was killed in a recent shooting incident in Pikit, Cotabato Province.
Pikit Municipal Police said the victim was driving his motorcycle when he was shot by unidentified gunmen in Sitio Brotherhood, Barangay Takepan, at around 3 PM yesterday, January 25, 2024.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds all over his body, which resulted in his instantaneous death.
Four empty bullet shells from a Caliber 45 were recovered at the crime scene.
The police have identified two suspects involved in the crime, who were also riding a motorcycle and fled towards Barangay Panicupan, Pikit.
The recent killing is the 3rd fatal shooting incident recorded in the town since January this year.
