Cotabato City — In a statement, Member of Bangsamoro Parliament, Atty. Rasol Mitmug Jr., the Bangsamoro Peoples Party Secretary General (BPP), highlighted the importance of having multiple parties participate in the 2025 BARMM election. Atty. Mitmug stressed the significance of alliance-building over destructive practices within the political sphere.
The Bangsamoro Peoples Party firmly believes that pursuing alliance-building based on shared goals for the Bangsamoro is paramount instead of engaging in divisive election tactics that undermine opponents.
“Pare-pareho naman siguro ang ating hangad na mapabuti ang kalagayan ng ating mga mamamayan. Pareho nating layunin ang mapaunlad ang ating pamayanan na matagal na napabayaan. Kaya sama-sama sana nating ipaglaban ang ating kinabukasan sa halalan sa 2025,” Mitmug said.
The BPP encourages more parties to partake in the forthcoming 2025 BARMM election, seeing it as a triumph in democracy. This appeal extends to all parties, whether political or not, including civil society organizations (CSOs), community leaders, and NGOs.
“Kaya mahalagang magkaisa tayo na gawing makabuluhan ang ating halalan sa BARMM, para hindi malunod ang ating plataporma, mensahe at adhikain para sa mga taga-Bangsamoro sa dami ng ating maririnig sa darating na eleksyon,” Mitmug added.
Mitmug further emphasized that the registered voters in the region will not just vote for district, party, and sectoral representatives in the Parliament but also include national and local officials across the country.
